Scott brings a lifetime of construction experience and real estate knowledge to his role at Metal America. “I have been in Construction all my life and Real Estate most of my life so I enjoy the industry,” he explains, highlighting the deep foundation that informs his approach to metal building sales. This extensive background gives him valuable insights into building processes, materials, and customer needs that benefit anyone looking to invest in a metal structure.
With a career in marketing and sales spanning back to 1985, Scott’s expertise in communication allows him to effectively connect with customers from all walks of life. “I have been in Marketing and Sales, including fundraising since 1985. I enjoy connecting with people and studied Communication both in college and separate courses,” he shares. His experience building and training successful sales teams, particularly in real estate and construction, demonstrates his leadership capabilities and deep industry knowledge.
Scott’s approach to helping customers centers on active listening and genuine support. “Focus on listening and adding value to their desired outcome and not just push or try to lead them in a direction they are not equally passionate about,” he explains when describing his methodology. This customer-centered philosophy, combined with his values of “positive, engaging, direct and accurate communication,” creates a supportive buying experience where clients feel understood and respected.
Professional development remains important to Scott, who describes himself as “still a student of training and coaching through the John C. Maxwell leadership team, as well as reading and pier groups that share in personal and professional development.” This commitment to continuous growth ensures he stays current with industry trends and best practices, ultimately benefiting the customers he serves at Metal America.
When not working with metal building clients, Scott maintains a balanced lifestyle that includes reading, learning new things, cooking, walking, enjoying water activities, horseback riding, trying new experiences, and watching great movies. His high school football days as team captain and middle linebacker earned him the nickname “Bobo,” a fun fact that reflects his team leadership abilities. Above all, Scott values human connection, stating that his favorite aspect of sales is “People, I enjoy meeting new people and building relationships”—a genuine enthusiasm that makes him a trusted advisor for anyone considering a metal building project.
